I am an investor with no kids living a quiet and simple life in beautiful San Diego, CA. I had been a professional stock trader turned fund manager in NYC. I was also a type-A, workaholic, jerk boss, daily smoker, overweight, and heavy drinker who was in overall poor health. In 2004, at age 34, on a relative whim I moved to La Jolla, CA. One year later I had finally gotten “sick and tired of being sick and tired.” My kind and generous doctor helped guide me toward physical health via simple low carb eating and light exercise.
Shortly thereafter, I lucked into a business coach who later morphed into my life coach. He helped me to see (amongst many other things) that I wanted to close my business and that I could. By early 2007, my business was closed, and I initiated, as my primary pursuit, personal growth and development in all categories of my life: mind, body, relationships, finances, career, possessions, recreation, and service. To further this hobby and ideally turn it up a few notches (from say a 6 to hopefully a 9/10), and to add some structure and accountability, I decided to add blogging to the mix.
